woah.

since when did WordPress change its interface? aww, I’m kinda missing the old one. (yea, not really.) i think everybody’s in a phase where they feel the need to change just because everybody else (e.g. Facebook, Youtube) is doing it. read: trend. I’m not really a fan of trends. and to be honest, every time I hear of one, I am so tempted to rebel against it. conformity is just so boring.
and the sad part is, change doesn’t always mean for the better. I still think that Facebook’s previous interface was way more effective than the one they have now. And as for Youtube, I just have no idea what their point is. seriously.
anyway, I think I owe this blog an update. be back in a bit.
it’s not me, it’s you.

Sigh, for the record, I haven’t written a Rant blog since the day I created that blog category. Here’s a pretty festival program booklet to compensate for all my whining.

timelapse photography

Isn’t this cool? We’re supposed to do something like that (stop motion photography) for Timebased class, and I do feel a little stressed that we’re still scheduled for a retake and don’t have a decent one that’s ready for submission. Maybe it’s my being a perfectionist that’s speaking, but there were so many things about our last take that I didn’t really like.
insane tuition
August 25, 2008
So the dreaded mail has finally arrived. Sorry, but i feel the need to complain about this:
As far as I can recall, York splits tuition fees in half so you can pay it in two installments. Since when did they start requiring you to pay full fee by Sept? Where am I gonna get $7125 in 3 weeks? That’s like P350,000.. the initial pick-up for my OSAP covers less than half of it. Sigh, I should probably go start selling my things or something. iMac for sale: needs money for tuition. Sigh.
Universities rip you off your money. I better get a decent job that pays decent money after I graduate.
not-so-beautiful WP letdown
August 13, 2008
Eww.. WordPress won’t let you edit your CSS Theme for free? That sucks. (Clearly, Tabulas still rules.) Call me cheap, but I’m not paying $15 for a minor edit. That’s like a boxful of tasty buns right there. Could feed like 15 people in Africa. Or 4, here at home.
Sigh. Good thing their themes are not as crappy as Multiply’s. All I really wanted to do was to make the date entry above a tad smaller than it is. (Don’t you agree?) I would’ve been super contented.
