I forgot to mention in my previous post that we’re also required to have 3 different approaches for the festival poster:

  1. Literal
  2. Symbolic
  3. Abstract

And in addition, we’re also encouraged to have at least one typographic, one illustrative, and one photographic. So here are some fruits of my very productive Monday labor. (Yeah, the project is due tomorrow. Lol.) I said to a friend earlier that I’m gonna need a miracle to finish this project. Well, at least now I have one solution for each approach.

illuminaqua

This is for my symbolic/typographic approach for the Illuminaqua poster. What do you think? (Illuminaqua is a festival held yearly in Welland ON and is basically a celebration of water, fire and music. They light pods of fire set afloat on Welland canal, while musicians play on top of a floating stage.)

we’re supposed to design a poster for a festival. my festival in essence is a combination of fire, water, and music. so, um what do you think?

does it say fire/water? should i lose/keep the glow on Illumin? choice of typefaces? color? which do you like better?
